SVG area getting disabled.

I have svg pie chart included in tag. Each segment of the pie has link using a xlink:href equals javascript..
When I click on the segment, it takes me to the right page. However when i go back (back button & page does not reload), the chart is disabled, I won't even get svg menu and can't click on the pie segments anymore.

What is going wrong here.
