SVG Roadshow

The gist of this post is to collect a list of links to cool demos of SVG, experimental, polished or otherwise.

For reference, see my post on svg-developers.

I thought I'd start things off by posting some demos that I've worked on involving SVG. As to my knowledge, all of these work in Firefox 1.5, Opera 9 and IE+ASV3:

Here are some links to the demos that I've toyed around with. These haven't necessarily been fully tested on Opera and IE. I've focused primarily on Firefox with the "intention" of fixing things up for the other browsers.

Low to High
Playing cards

I can't say they're cool, but someone may find something useful in them.

A clock - demo code

It doesn't work in Firefox - relies on animation and SVG support, but it is nice short (and meant to be clean) code for a clock. A simple demo, that includes 3 skins, and being able to wind the clock...

Here are a few experiments

Here are a few experiments of mine. While they work in Firefox, I can't say that I've thoroughly tested with either Opera or IE+ASV.

Here are the SVG tests that I have done so far:

  • SVG Graph demo. This is the beginnings of what I hope to eventually include in Adsense Notifier.
  • SVG 3d and Fire Tests. I made these just to get a feel of what SVG was like, and to see how difficult it would be to make "pretend" animation in Firefox with SVG.

For a web comic using interactivity, filters,
gradients, animations the odd patten etc, see
PixelPalaces pressents Dragon Knights. This works in ASV but
I've been unable to pursuade my hosting company to change the settings to support Firefox. I don't know about Opera.

crashdown
sokoban
q-bert (ASV only)

more of my SVG experiments and examples can be found on my webside

Here's my latest game: SVG

Here's my latest game: SVG Asteroids. It works on Firefox 1.5 and Opera 9 (beta). On MSIE6 + ASV3, it runs for some levels before ASV3 crashes.
You can find other demonstrations on my Web site in the address below.
